Potato and bacon tart




1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
4 medium potatoes
150 diced bacon
3 tablespoons of grated Grana Padano or Parmigiano  cheese
1 clove of garlic
Salt and pepper
Extra virgin olive oil


Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan with the clove of garlic, add the bacon and leave to flavor for a few minutes. Add the washed and diced potatoes, then season with salt and pepper. Let cook for about 15 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Let cool and discard the garlic.

Grease a round baking dish and line it with the puff pastry.   Prick the bottom with a fork, fill with the mixture and bring the excess dough inwards to cover the filling partially. Bake in a preheated oven at 200° C for about 35/40 minutes.
